My school is multicultural. We have students that come from homes that are financially stable. Some student's lunch status indicate free and/or reduced. Our students are being taught Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. The students educational needs follow a long continuum. We have students that are in the Gifted and Talented Program; Average pupils; Early Intervention Pupils; and pupils in the Department of Special Education. All students have the potential to learn. Therefore it is important to meet the needs of all of our students. Some needing more scaffolding than others. Some students need to be pushed to reach their highest potentials. Some students are ready to soar like eagles, and others that need immediate gratification to promote continuous learning in smaller increments. As an Early Intervention Program Teacher, I am charged with providing instruction that is different from what students receives in their regular homeroom using various teaching techniques and materials.
