A challenge that I face is the socioeconomic backgrounds in which my students come from. They struggle to get to school on time and to attend daily as well as moving schools and districts often. Therefore there are holes in their learning and they need a great deal of one on one individualized instruction. Small groups and reading programs assist with this dramatically since it is specific and guided learning based on their needs. regardless of their backgrounds they look for a positive classroom environment and love to be praised for even small achievements. My school has a positive atmosphere and the teachers work well together and constantly collaborate to ensure that we are reaching everyone. We expect our students to come to school and work hard and always give their best effort.
