My students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I would like to provide dolls that better reflect the skin tones and cultures of my students. Purposeful play is an integral part of a child’s early learning experiences and being able to use dolls that look more like my students would be beneficial to all of the learners in my class. In addition to using the dolls for purposeful play, they will also be used for role playing to help my students practice much needed social and interpersonal skills.
