I teach a first grade, special education inclusion class in a Title 1 school. With the inclusion class I have many different needs that must be meet for my students to be successful. My first graders are full of energy and creativity! They love to participate in science, math, and social studies where they are able to be more interactive and move around a bit. With my young students I am trying to build their focus and participation in school. Many of my students are itching for movement and fidget throughout the day. Sitting in stiff chairs can make it difficult for the students to focus on their educational tasks each day.
