My students are part of our alternative education program. Our school is made up of students who are not successful in the traditional classroom. Many of them work until late at night and then get up to come to school in the morning. They are providing for families and many of them are parents themselves. My students need flexibility and the ability to work at their own pace. However, they understand how incredibly important a diploma is and they work hard to ensure they have that opportunity for themselves.
