We are a Title 1 inner city school in the Northeast with a minority enrollment of 28%, primarily Hispanic. 36% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. My team of 100 7th grade students is representative of this diverse population. While we have a dedicated staff of teachers and support staff, we struggle to provide our students with enough hands-on experience with computers. While many of our students are comfortable with technology through gaming experience they are not computer literate enough to use computers to further their education.
