The students in my classroom are bright, inquisitive, and compassionate. They reflect the rich ethnic, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity of San Francisco itself. Over 85% qualify for free or reduced lunch, and many have high needs. My students share a love of learning through through reading and writing workshop, thinking through problem solving in math, community and social studies projects, music, theater, dance, and visual arts experiences, social emotional learning, and outdoor education. Every semester, students are immersed in project based learning to develop science, engineering, tech, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. By supporting the needs of the students in my classroom, you will greatly enhance and positively impact the educational experiences of these hard-working and inspirational kids.
