We are a small rural school in Southwest Arkansas with approximately 67% free and reduced lunch population. Any funding that I receive must come from outside sources. I have a very limited budget for music and supplies. My students love music, love to sing, and love to perform, and have a strong desire to play on actual instruments. The only rhythm instruments I have for my students are old and in very poor condition. I only have 2 small drums and with an average size of 20 in a class that doesn't go far. The majority of my students will never have the opportunity to play a real instrument or to learn about instruments outside of school. Our school is like a family. I teach about 275 students per week. I love each one. I have seen students that might not be successful in the regular classroom soar in music class! Music class builds their self-esteem. Please help me to further their music education.
