Deep in the heart of Oakland, this school is full of pride, community, joy, and light. We constantly support each other to strive for academic and personal growth as our students become lifelong change-makers. Our students are feisty- fiercely loyal to each other and the community and soaring with energy and vitality. They are strong; While facing adversity in a low income community (85% percent of our students are on free or reduced lunch), almost 100% of our students have been accepted to a four year college over the last five years. They are constantly reaffirming our school's philosophy that all children, no matter the background or arbitrary facts that influence their lives, are uniquely precious and deserve access to the best possible education.
