Most of my precious students come from high poverty families and have limited resources. A very high percentage of my students receive free lunch. Reading seems to take these kids to places that they may never be able to travel. These kids love to read and especially love to be read to. The smiles and cheers that I get from my students when I pull out a new book, melts my heart. My school is a small rural school that is filled with kids that are eager to learn, but our resources are limited.
