Pandemic learning has been a struggle for my students. It doesn't help when I have to engage with them using the tiny district provided laptop. Many times they have to wait as I toggle between the desktop, Zoom, and other application screens. A second screen allows me to keep my cherubs on the larger monitor while I keep the course content on the district provided laptop. I can quickly see raised hands and address other issues as they arise. The larger monitor allows me to see better the students' visual cues to ascertain their understanding of the material, something I normally do in person.
