Yes, my students do come from a low socioeconomic area of the city, but they also come with an enthusiastic joy for experiencing new learning and sharing their ideas. Many children each year come with deficits from poor eyesight to language acquisition difficulties. Over the past many years as schools have added technology for students and teachers to use to better ready students for higher education and the work place, our district has been unable to finance the ever increasing demand. My students are in great need of the enriching and engaging opportunities that abound when coupling technology with innovative instructional practices. It does not just take a village these days to help a child succeed, but also the world of technology.
