My students go to school in a rural setting that is part of a large urban school district. Because of this we often lack funds that larger schools are accustomed to simply because of the lower number of students we have. Our students are involved in a myriad of activities outside of the classroom; athletics, drama, band, forensics and more. Often those who are in my AP class are in multiple AP classes. They are good, and hard-working students who are well-rounded because of their involvement in many things. They have a desire to achieve and many excel. Some of them travel up to 30 minutes to get school. Their time is very valuable. A majority of them go on to post-secondary education.
