My students are of a very elite club. They refer to themselves as "The Baby Genius Club" aka. the BGCs. Though they challenge themselves every day to move up a reading level or understand the abstractness of matter, they look forward to math at the end of each day. They support each other when their classmate needs help and are patient when someone needs an extra 30 seconds. Their favorite part of math is small group because they get to challenge themselves to fourth grade skills or revisit skills that they have not yet mastered.
