My students come from a wide variety of experiences. Some are recent arrivals to the United States and are English Language Learners. Many have no preschool experience and this is the first time they have been separated from their families. A large number of students have no concept of how books work. There are some students who are reading, while others struggle to identify the letters in their own name. With or without barriers to overcome, they are all eager to learn. It is my responsibility to provide both the environment and instruction to make it exciting and fun to learn.
