Currently in writing, my fifth grade students are creating news articles and feature articles. In addition, they will also create argumentative, fantasy, narrative, and informational writing within the coming months. By having our own binding machine and the tools needed so that they can create their own books, it would transform their final writing pieces into a more authentic product. As the school year goes on, our students' "books" will grow as each new writing product is added into their own book. At the conclusion of the school year, my goal is for each student to take home their own personal writing book filled with all of their writing stories.

About my class
