I teach second grade and my school is located in a rural area in Florida. Although I have a wonderful school, there are never enough funds to provide our students with the newest educational equipment available. As a teacher, I want to provide my students with the type of resources that can meet each of their learning needs. Many of my students are on free and reduced lunch. Many of my students come to school hungry each day and are not properly dressed. They need as much enrichment as I can possibly give them each and everyday. I am amazed with all that my students face, they still come to school with smiles on their faces and a desire to learn. They are energetic, loving, and all around great kids. At the start of each new year, my goal is to create a special bond between myself and each students that walks through my doors.
