I am an inclusion teacher. My classroom is extremely diverse and consists of 20 students, 10 regular functioning second graders and 10 students who receive special education services. The classroom is a very busy place and at any given time there may be as many as 3-5 support staff, trying to give some type of academic, therapeutic, emotional supports or occupational therapy to children that are in need. As an inclusion teacher, I try to give my students 110% of my attention, guidance and instruction each and every day. This is not always the easiest of tasks. I address a wide range of academic, social-emotional, occupational and speech related needs. It is important for me to incorporate ALL of my students; ALL of the time. They are encourage to cooperate, engage in daily activities and succeed. Our motto is: WE ARE ALL SPECIAL and CAPABLE!
