I teach in an amazing school and I have a wonderful group of first graders. They are fun, smart, creative and they make me laugh every day. They are so excited to come to school each day and are motivated to learn no matter what their personal circumstances may be outside of school. Many of them look to school as their safe haven and I am honored each day to provide them with a secure and nurturing learning environment. I teach in a Title I school with a high poverty rate. In spite of this, our school has earned many awards and is dedicated to student achievement. Our school has a positive, welcoming feeling that is difficult to describe. This happiness and positivity contributes to our students motivation and their dedication to learning.
