The materials purchased will support the Nevada Academic Content Standards to give students meaningful learning experiences. Reading will build students' comprehension and fluency (RL.3.10, RL.3.1, RI.3.1, & RI.3.10). Students will be able to read and comprehend grade-level texts with different passages. In addition, students will be able to manipulate and dive into various texts with engaging topics. Finally, students will practice the skills they have learned through different learning reading comprehension games. Then, assisting students with learning centers to improve their math skills. Again, students will gain knowledge through hands-on learning. The math games selected cover Numbers and Operation (for multiplication/ division; 3.OA), Area and perimeter (3.MD.C), fractions (3.NF.A), and addition and subtraction practice (3.NBT.A). I know these hands-on activities where students can manipulate and play with will make their learning very memorable. I want to be the teacher my students remember because they remember that fun learning game. Furthermore, I want my students to challenge their understanding but getting experiences from different contexts they might not have encountered. Additionally, I want them to monitor their learning to make mistakes and fix them through a fun learning game. Lastly, I want to give students various and multiple chances to practice their skills.
