The majority of students at our school are English-language learners living at or below the poverty level. They are hungry for information, absorbing facts about their community and their world, eager to add to their stores of knowledge. The neighborhood is not always a safe place, so their opportunities to get out, play, and run around are limited. It is our task, not only to provide an academic education, but to teach recreational skills and social skills to our students. Happily, they are cooperative and willing to accept our instruction in all these areas!

About my class
