The students at my school walk to school daily. Every morning I see my students walk in the dark, cold and rain without appropriate clothing and shoes. My students need access to take home snacks, bottled water, gloves, warm neck gaiters, and socks to keep warm. In addition students need toothbrushes and toothpaste. Many students enter my classroom with stained, and soiled clothing. Personal hygiene items are limited. These basic items will increase my children's quality of life. My students will come to school healthy and happy. I know this funded project will motivate, inspire and build self-esteem, therefore increasing academic success.
