My students attend a low income high school in Texas and many of them cannot afford to put food on their table, much less a digital camera, yet they all LOVE the idea of a yearbook and magazine. It is hard for us to complete a quality publication when we are limited on resources, which is why we need help. We need cameras to help capture the high school memories for these students for years to come. My students are great kids. They work hard and always want to go the extra mile to get the job done, but since my budget has been cut, my opportunities for them have been cut as well. I need cameras to allow them to express themselves in pictures. They want to make great publications, but just don't have the means to do so.
