As the season changes, outdoor recess will be nearly impossible. Understanding that children need "brain breaks" throughout the day, is the primary reason for this project. I want to give my students the opportunity to use arts and crafts such as bead kits, puzzles and jewelry cord, as an outlet to be creative and have some fun. These crafts will promotes bilateral coordination, fine motor coordination and self-regulation. My students will also love spending time with teacher and peers, creating something together. By donating to this project, you are providing resources for students to create and build. This project will encourage my students to think creatively with an open mind. This will allow my students to practice problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It will also help to build confidence because there is not just one way to create art. Please consider this project to help my students learn how collaborate with others during a craft-inspired recess.
