My students are very respectful, motivated, and caring students from a low-income school. They are a group of 4th graders in a Dual Language Immersion program Spanish-English, with reading abilities varying from struggling readers to above grade level readers. Unfortunately, the titles I have available in my classroom library are few and they are not as multicultural as they could be. It is crucial to have materials available that will keep them motivated to read and develop their reading skills. Funding from the supplies that this project will offer them would offer them a great learning opportunity.
