Reading is a very important part of developing skills to progress forward in any subject area. Many students at our school read at their desk and at times that becomes boring and uncomfortable. We teach our students to read for understanding but if you've been sitting in a hard desk all day reading doesn't sound exciting. We have a program that each class follows, D.E.A.R (drop everything and read.) When my students hear that announcement they would ask if they could get on the floor of go to a corner. I would normally tell them that the floor is cold and dirty. My students would benefit from your generous donation by allowing them to have a clean and safe environment to engage in our reading program. My students would be excited to know that they wouldn't have to remain in their seats to enjoy the reading time.
