My students are third graders ranging in age from 8-9 years old. Although my school is comprised of 80% white middle class families, this does not mean my students are not widely diverse. Some of my students have sensory issues, some have processing difficulties, some students are auditory learners, while others are visual and kinesthetic learners. I have some students who are reading two grade levels below third grade and some who are reading above grade level. Most of my students benefit from some type of small group instruction throughout the day. They are curious and excited to be engaged in hands learning.
