A trip to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center will align with 5th-grade science and social studies standards. Students will learn about the first trip to the moon and how the rockets were built. Students will learn about the challenges and successes of the NASA program. Students also get an opportunity to be a part of a STEM activity that challenges their engineering skills. Some of our students do not have many opportunities to travel outside of Chattanooga regularly. This trip will be an exciting and educational experience for all students who attend. Some students may never get this chance otherwise!
