Our students are high school aged students who have been diagnosed as having varying forms of Emotional Disturbances, Learning Disabilities as well as Autism Spectrum Disorders. Coming from some of the toughest and economically strapped neighborhoods in New York City, our students long for a safe place where they can grow academically, socially as well as emotionally. As part of their everyday instruction, our students participate in our S.C.O.R.E. program that rewards them positively for positive behavior. As part of this program our students are able to earn points that give them spending power at our school store. Being a teenager is rough, having to navigate our complicated world with emotional, social and/or behavioral difficulties can at times be challenging. It is part of our everyday commitment as staff to show our students that the tiniest change in behavior can turn our paths towards success. It
