Hello! I teach a self-contained third grade classroom covering all subjects: math, reading, science, and social studies. I spend my day with 18 wonderful, loving, energetic 8 and 9 year old children. Because I am a self-contained classroom, my students spend the majority of their school day within the walls of my room. For this reason, I try to give my students opportunities to get away from their desks and "change scenery". We live in a rural, low-socioeconomic community, therefore many of my students come to school lacking some of the basic supplies and skills needed for success.
