My 5th graders are knowledge seekers. They are collaborative masters. These students set goals, and, despite setbacks, their confidence and willingness to ask questions blows me away every day. While lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs to the twenty students within my classroom walls, our personalized and connected learning experiences spread our mission globally promoting collaboration beyond school walls and showing students that learning does not end with the concrete walls of our classroom. Our school is a Title I building with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and economic situations. Students are given opportunities in our school to explore avenues of learning that are not typically available to them outside of the school day. I want to ensure that I am giving them every possible opportunity to reach their highest potentials! Our school community supports students as they take academic risks, accepting challenges and encouraging students to succeed!
