Most students are accustomed to a highly technological world. In their lives they use computers, personal devices, apps and the internet on a daily, even hourly basis, so why should their math class be any different? It is my goal to create an exciting and engaging environment in my Algebra and Geometry classes. Individual use of tablets is an effective and efficient method of eliciting student engagement and encouraging exploration. This technology will enable students to access programs, apps and sites such as Geometer's Sketchpad, Desmos, Khan Academy, Socrative and Kahoot. Students learn best when they can investigate, collaborate and get instant feedback. This is available at their fingertips when they have tablets in the classroom.
