I am the School Counselor, at a school that is located in South Dekalb county, Georgia. We have approximately 600 students PK - 5th grade. I am charged with servicing all of my students, with their very specific needs. It is hard for me to see all of my students, but I want to make sure that I am assisting them with balancing social, emotional, and academics concerns. I would love to set up minute meetings with my students first thing in the morning, as they are coming into the building, or even into the hallways, as I see them. These meetings will be impromptu, and assist me with building a rapport with the students, and with "checking in" with them to get their day started off right.
