The Academy for Academics and the Arts established in 1984, is a P-8 Magnet School with the emphasis on the Fine Arts Drama, Dance, Visual Arts and Music. All children in grades P-5 have the opportunity to explore the arts twice weekly while students in grades 6-8 choose at least two art electives. We have recently relocated to a renovated former school which is projected to be fully completed in the spring of 2016. The students who attend our school are from a diverse demographic sampling of the Huntsville community. A large percentage of our students are bused in from around the city. While some arrive by car,only a few walk to school. Our school AAA, prides itself on being a high performance and family oriented community where each child, staff and faculty feels loved. We provide our Huntsville community with several performances each year, of which, the Christmas season is one of our busiest.
