These supplies will guarantee that my kids will have opportunities they don't get at home. They will get to do art, theater, building, pretending, problem solving, and communicating through purposeful play every day in our classroom. They desperately need these supplies to stretch their brains and help them learn and grow. No worksheets. No computer screens. No teacher talk. Just learning through play. Learning with each other. Solving problems. Using their imaginations. Dreaming of the future. Every day they will have the opportunity to work with these supplies. They will play games and create and pretend with their partners. These will be the stories they go home and share. Purposeful play is their favorite time of the day. There's no rules. Just learning through doing. Help these low-income kids use supplies they don't have at home. Give them these experiences. Stretch their brains and get them ready for the next 12 years and beyond.
