My students live in a very rural area. They are eager to learn about new technology and get excited when the opportunity to use new technology is presented to them. They love to take Accelerated Reader quizzes to earn points that they can spend in an AR "store." However, many of our computers are old and don't work reliably. Taking quizzes would be so much more exciting to them if they were able to do it on an iPad and the equipment would be reliable. Our school is a Pre-K through 12th grade school, and we treat each other as family. Our community supports our school and does everything they can to help us. The few businesses in our small town help if they can. We can't charge big classroom fees like some schools. It is a wonderful school and community. I've lived here for 43 years and worked in this school for 23 years. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but would love for my students to have the same opportunities as others.
