I am a 5th grade special education co-teacher with students diagnosed with a variety of learning disabilities such as; autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning disability (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Speech Impairments (SI), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). All of my students can learn no matter what their disability, but they all learn at different rates and in different ways. Most of my students are several grades behind their same age peers but they are very excited to learn. Technology is one tool that makes learning meaningful, relevant, and fun for my students. My school is a safe and nurturing environment for all students to maximize their learning potential.
