My students need total care for all academic and life skills. Allowing them to listen and enjoy books on cd will help them create a love of literacy. Every day I read aloud to my students and will incorporate books that are enhanced by music. This brings smiles to their faces and laughter . I check out books on a weekly basis from the local library but they are very limited in their selection. I need to be able to find books that capture my student's attention. Many of my students do not have the opportunities to visit their local libraries because of their physical disabilities. What I bring to them weekly allows them to enjoy all types of literacy to help them visualize the story that is being read to them. What joy it brings to me to see them love learning after all the hardships that they occur daily. Help me build a library that will make a difference in my student's lives. Thank you.
