My students come from a high poverty area and they do not have the opportunity to work with updated manipulatives. Often times they can't afford the necessary supplies needed to be successful in school. Every child receives free meals and many have little parental involvement. This still does not put a damper on their spirit for learning. That is where we, as teachers come in, and strive for our students to have the same opportunities as students who are more fortunate.

About my class
