My students are all identified as having a learning disability among many other reasons to have an IEP, yet are some of the hardest working and invested students I have met. While we have our times of difficulty, we are learning how grit and perseverance, as well as becoming advocates for ourselves, will take us anywhere we want to go. Though their environment has stacked almost all the odds against them, I am encouraged and confident my students will do anything and everything they want with their lives. I am reminded every day how beautifully different my students are and am inspired by the way they think, interact, and dream!

About my class
