Seventh graders in advanced science classes in will visit the K-5 grade classes. The seventh graders will teach fairy tales, water shortage and electrical circuits to the younger students in very small groups using hands on manipulates focused around STEM problems. Seventh graders will bring fairy tales alive for the younger grades. Small groups of 7th graders will focus in on one fairy tale. They will use their knowledge of the Law of Conservation of Energy to explain the STEM problem to their classmates. They will teach their fairy tale to a small group in the classroom and gain feedback from that experience. After we have discussed the feedback and honed their teaching skills they will travel to K-3 rooms to teach in small groups. Seventh graders will also venture out to the 4-5th grade classes to teach about water shortage and electrical circuits.
