My ELL students will use these Chromebooks on a daily basis as our county ELL teachers have prepared digital lesson plans, student projects, and digital resources to enhance personal learning for each student. My students will be able to have adequate working technology in their hands instead of just being able to view it as WIDA English Language Development standards are on a rise and testing is done on the computer. My wish is for students to be able to be users of technology instead of viewers only. We are the first department within our county trying to go completely digital. Students will be able to collaborate and work together with other cohort schools within the district, within their own grade levels, and make use of our ELL Haiku. This will provide them with necessary 21st century skills and will best equip them for the future leaders in a digital world.
