I have the best job in our school! I get to work with students in each grade level, K-5. Not only that, but I get to do math with them all day long! As a math Interventionist, I meet with groups of 4-6 students at a time. My mathematicians come to my classroom, where we use hands on activities to make math come alive. We work on fundamental math skills, including numeracy, computation, fractions, decimals, and problem solving. My groups are very fluid, so I may work with over 150 students in each year. As an Interventionist, I'm responsible for procuring my own supplies and curriculum. The materials in my classroom should be able to reach the needs across all grade levels. My kids thrive on positivity and someone believing in them. We practice a growth mindset in our classroom, and that's my approach to DonorsChoosewe may not have everything we need YET, but we will! Thank you for loving my kids as much as I do!
