Many of my students come from very chaotic homes, some with little to no furniture. When they come to school, I want them to put their stress aside, be comfortable, and learn the best they can. When you give children a choice, they are more empowered in how and what they learn. Giving them a choice also leads to being more confident with their work. My students will use the various seats and lap trays to move to a place free from distraction or to get buddy help if needed. This is student-centered learning that they can take pride in.

About my class
