My students both have Autism which impacts their ability to fully engage with the world around them. They are desperate for engaging and stimulating experiences, especially ones that provide an alternate form of communication. A smartboard would allow my students to fully immerse themselves in their education and allows for immediate manipulation which significantly lowers the current frustrations they experience when trying to communicate and learn. This assisted technology will take, "Show Me" to a whole new level. The impact a smartboard would have on my students is boundless. Instead of learning being static and one dimensional, it would provide a platform of engagement with endless possibilities.
