Our library is in desperate need of technology! We want our library to be a place that is inviting and cutting edge! It needs to support student learning and their creative needs. If we were to receive the Chromebooks and the charging station we would be able to utilize (just to name a few!): - Destiny (Library Automation System) - Epic - Accelerated Reader - OverDrive - ccSpark! (our new Career Development Program - Chapter 339) - Power Library - Google EDU Platform Extensions - Digital Assessment Tools (Kahoot, Quizizz) - Flipped Classroom Learning Experiences - Student-Driven Projects - Makerspace Activites - Digital Storytelling Projects Having this additional technology not only helps me accomplish my instructional goals in the library, but it will also help my colleagues. We can collaborate on cross-curricular projects and activities that will not only promote student learning but promote professional learning with staff members. Teachers from different departments or grade levels can work together in a common area that is outfitted with the technology needed to extend student learning. Our students inspire us every day and are often teaching us just as much as we are teaching them, especially when it comes to technology. The possibilities are practically endless when you combine technology, student ingenuity, and creativity! Please give our students the opportunity to achieve greatness and reach their full potential!
