My students absolutely love read-aloud time in our classroom. Every day after lunch, we gather on the floor to share the next chapter or two of our book. On the first day of school, I told my students that something magical happens when you read a good book. By sharing quality literature with them, it is my goal to make all students realize this is true. Hearing students who don't enjoy reading beg for "just one more chapter!" is one of the most amazing things I've experienced. I would love for my students to have a comfortable place to relax as they enjoy our read aloud every day. A large classroom rug would be a luxury my students would greatly enjoy!
