My students are full of character and personality. Getting to know these personalities of students of this age is always exciting. They are nearing their teenage years and some of those characteristics are prevalent. Their social tendencies begin to greatly influence their decisions both in and out of the classroom. Some students still possess characteristics of younger students, while others demonstrate those found in the average teenager. The academic challenge is reaching out and meeting the needs of students with such a wide range of maturity and interests. Group collaboration can be a struggle at times, but it also gives students practice and preparation for life when working with others and their differences. Receiving the materials will allow them to do fun, engaging activities that require both collaboration as well as meeting the interests of students and their different academic abilities.
