We are a Title I school comprising of nearly 600 students. Many of our students suffer from economic hardship, but you would never know from their sweet smile, composure, positive outlook, and their eagerness to learn. We have a large ESOL student population and nearly 50% of our students are reading below their grade level. Fortunately, we have plenty of engaging online resources that can help them achieve their learning goals. Our students love utilizing technology . Unfortunately, we only have 12 computers in the library, which makes it difficult to teach information skills needed for research. They are eager to create, share information, and most importantly, they are engaged learners! Our students lack the technology and internet resources at home to access our educational online materials. A majority of our students are unable to access the public library. For a most of our students, LaBelle library is their main resource for accessing online materials.
