Students are expected to silently read daily, participate in book clubs, and become active, fluent readers. Finding a comfortable place to read is an important first step to fulfilling this requirement. Students will be able to sit for longer periods while reading and not have to constantly adjust themselves on the hard desk chairs. Bean bag chairs will provide for no more sore behinds while reading during class, allowing students to spend more quality time engrossed in their books. One less distraction is one more support in our push for literacy. Anything to help adolescents read more and discover their own passion for learning is a worthwhile venture.
